Dr. Wilson is a practicing pediatrician in Colorado and a world leading authority on the use of predictive analytics for health security. Prior to founding Ascel Bio, Dr. Wilson was Chief Architect of a United States Government program responsible for scanning the globe for infectious disease risk. Dr. Wilson’s early career included time spent working with the World Health Organization in Africa, where he hunted Ebola outbreaks. After returning from the field, Dr. Wilson then joined NASA to continue the pursuit of infectious diseases from the skies. After leaving NASA, Dr. Wilson pioneered the use of open source information to deliver advanced outbreak alerts. Dr. Wilson frequently returns to the field, most recently as a volunteer in Haiti with Praecipio International.

  Ms. Baker co-founded Ascel Bio with Dr. Wilson in 2010, and leads the team of analysts responsible for forecasting infectious diseases. She has strong experience leading biosurveillance operations. Baker led the analytical team responsible for providing early warning for the Pandemic (H1N1) 2009 emergence in early April 2009 to the WHO, CDC, PAHO and other organizations. She was previously Operations Chief for Biosurveillance at Veratect Corporation, and managed its Virginia-based Operations Center. Prior to Veratect, Baker was senior analyst at the Georgetown University Imaging and Information Systems (ISIS) Center, Division of Integrated Biodefense, Argus Research Operations Center. Baker currently serves on the board of Praecipio International, a non-profit organization founded by members of the Ascel Bio team to help the world’s least advantaged communities.

  Smith is one of the creators of America's singularly successful storm warning system. He founded, WeatherData, Inc. in 1981 which he merged with AccuWeather in 2006. The merged company is known as AccuWeather Enterprise Solutions (AES) and he serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Executive. He is an expert on extreme weather and its effects on people as seen from his unique and extensive experience in the field of meteorology and public communication. He is an expert communicator of risk. Some of AES's clients include IBM, Ford, BNSF Railway, CSX Railroad, Abbot Labs and more than half of the other Fortune 100 companies. He has testified, on numerous occasions, as an expert witness in both state and federal courts, before a variety of state regulatory agencies, and before Congress.    
       
       
     
       
     
       
  Dr. McNabb is a Visiting Professor in the Departments of Epidemiology and Global Health at the Emory University, Rollins School of Public Health. Prior to retirement from the CDC in 2010, Dr. McNabb was the Director, Division of Integrated Surveillance Systems and Services, which ran the National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System which is the national surveillance system for reportable diseases. Prior to joining the Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) and serving the 2-year EIS residency in New Orleans, LA, he worked for 13 years at the Oklahoma State Health Department.    
       
       
     
       
     
       
  Dr. Franz served in the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command for 23 years. He served as Commander of USAMRIID and as Deputy Commander of the Medical Research and Materiel Command. He is the VP and Chief Biological Scientist at MRI and is also the Senior Advisor to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Defense Programs. He was the Chief Inspector on three UN Special Commission biological warfare inspection missions to Iraq.    
       
       
     
       
     
       
  Dr. Kirk Brown was the Bio-threat Issues Manager for the National Security Agency and the principal SME for all Chemical, Biological, and Radiological weapons of mass destruction matters under the Director of Intelligence for the State of Maryland. She has over 20 years of leadership experience in preventive medicine and environmental health protecting public health and national security. She also was the Program Manager for Biometrics in the Milton E. Eisenhower Research Center of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. She is currently an Industrial Hygienist for the US Navy Hospital Oak Harbor and the owner of two consulting companies.    
       
       
     
       
     
       
  Dr. Karesh is the Technical Director for the USAID Emerging Pandemic Threats PREDICT program. He is also the Executive VP for Health and Policy for EcoHealth Alliance. He serves as the president of the OIE Working Group on Wildlife Diseases and chairs the IUCN Wildlife Health Specialist Group. In addition to his work in the private sector, he has also worked for the USDA, DOD, DOI and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the U.N.    
       
       
     
       
     
       
  Cdr. Nelson is a former Navy helicopter pilot with over twenty years operational and intelligence experience, including assignments at the NSC and the NCTC. He is a senior fellow in the CSIS International Security Program, where he focuses on counterterrorism, homeland security, and defense-related issues. He is also an adjunct lecturer at Georgetown University. Prior to the NCTC, he served as Associate Director for maritime security in the Office of Combating Terrorism on the National Security Council staff at the White House, where he led the development of the National Strategy for Maritime Security.    
       
       
     
       
     
       
  Mr. Schaetzle has demonstrated success in a wide range of corporate environments, primarily focused on client relations and customer service, with solid experience in sales management, operations management, product/portfolio analysis and market development. As the CSO at INC, he led the development and implementation of an analytic process that reviewed all products and clients for viability and future fit with company direction. This project reduced overall costs by $25 million and the division grew from $700 million to $1.1 billion in just over 2 years. He also developed and managed programs for the Department of Defense personnel operations.    
       
       
     
       
     
       
  Mr. Buchanan is a consultant focused on healthcare data interoperabilty with over 15 years of experience integrating clinical information systems. He played key roles in the implementation of Kaiser Permanente's HealthConnect EHR and served as Director, Convergent Medical Terminology (CMT) prior Kaiser's donation of CMT to the International Health Information Standards Development Organization (IHTSDO) in 2010. In Canada, he served as Director, Standards at Canada Health Infoway providing oversight to Provincial Projects implementing components of the pan-Canadian EHR Infrastructure.
